ESSN/JwJ ACTIONS, CAMPAIGNS AND PROJECTS:

In 2007 and 2008 ESSN/JwJ Members, Activists and Allies organized or participated in:

- 9 Rallies, Actions, or Informational Pickets to support the UFCW Local 555 Contract Campaign
- 3 Rallies or Forums to support SEIU Local 503 members at the U. of O. in their Contract Campaign
- May Day Events, Rally, and Lobbying in support of Immigrant Rights
- Supported SEIU Local 49 members at Mckenzie-Willamette Hospital in their Contract Campaign
- Organized and ran a month-long Community Boycott Campaign in support of the Teamsters Local 206 strike at Western Beverage Co., including turning out more than 100 individuals and ten unions to walk the picket line on a near-daily basis, and leafleting at stores and other locations more than a dozen times
- Organized or supported Teamsters Local 206’s Contract Campaign at Wildish Sand and Gravel with
multiple events, rallies, and the 2007 Grinch of the Year Award presentation to Wildish
- Participated in 2 actions to support ATU Local 757’s Contract Campaign
AND
- Participated in rallies to support Contract Campaigns for the Bethel Area Classified (school) Employees, the Oregon School Employees Association, and other unions.
